Finding switched 12v behind the glovebox?

Hi guys,

I'm wiring my jammers back into my sport.

When they were in my BMW I tapped into a footwell light source as it was constant 12v and powered down after about 10mins of car being switched off so wouldn't run down the battery etc.

The footwell light in the sport doesn't work in the same Way, so how do I pick a 12v in the maze of wires behind the glovebox to do what I need?

Thanks in advance. MY10 HSE 3.0 TDV6 : Santorini Black : Ebony Interior w/Anigre wood : Privacy Glass (total) : Sunroof : Sidesteps : Hybrid TV : Detachable Tow Kit : Spare Wheel Cover : 22" Dished Supersports

I used a buss in the fuse panel behind the glove box to convert the rear cigar lighter to constant power so I could charge my cell phone continuously but it still stays hot after ignition is switched off. Not sure of one that switches off after key taken out. You can do a search here for constant power to rear lighter to show you fuse. Mike mike murphy

i assume you want it off when the car is off, so the rear or front fag lighter will do the job

Thanks guys.

To answer the question, yeah, I'd like the power off when the vehicle is switched off, so the cigarette lighter is the perfect place for the lead - only question is how do I get to the wires at the lighter - how do I remove the centre console to get under the cigarette lighter? MY10 HSE 3.0 TDV6 : Santorini Black : Ebony Interior w/Anigre wood : Privacy Glass (total) : Sunroof : Sidesteps : Hybrid TV : Detachable Tow Kit : Spare Wheel Cover : 22" Dished Supersports
