Car settles down sometimes when engine switched off

As the topic title says, sometimes, not always, the car suspension settles down a few seconds, sometimes a minute or two after the engine is switched of.

Very occasionally it does it if you are sitting in the car with the engine running but not moving for a few minutes, last time is was stopped taking a phone call, and the car settled, think it is the back end that is doing it.

Just on the point of having to decide if i should extend the warentee, thinking i should, but who should i use ? Andrew

Its the self levelling suspension - apparently you should raise or lower the suspension on a ferry to stop it doing it for the journey and flattening the battery Mike
