All depends on the size of the curb mate !! Mine is currently on cacky 17" rims with balloon like tyres, but all my rims are damage free and my stress levels are down to zero. IIRC the only tyre I've seen with a worthwhile rim protector is the BFG a/t, but you wont be wanting them on your Sport. 08 2.7 RRS "S"

I never kerbed a 19" wheel on my RRS when it was fitted with the 19" wheels, but the 20's were attracted to kerbs like they were magnetic. Now running my FFRR on the OEM 19's , in12 months not one kerbed wheel. In 2 weeks time I take delivery of a new RR running on 20's and am fully expecting to get kerbed wheels until I fit the winter wheels and tyres that are 19's! 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

if your wife is driving it does'nt matter how big the kerb is or how the tyre is designed they will still damage your alloy.

Bought the RRS with 20s with all 4 wheels refurbed and 4 new Goodyear tyres just before we got it. After 3 months of the childminder driving it, we had 4 kerbed alloys and had to replace 2 tyres due to chunks out the sidewall. We also replaced the childminder |

Only those that have specced it as an option will not have kerbed wheels, what they will get is bashed front and rear bumpers because the driver controls the speed and the gear....................... all the computer does is turn the wheel, nothing else. The driver still has to watch the screen, listen to the PDC and operate the pedals. And they can choose to ignore the warning.

There was a few on here who tried them, i think they all took them off as they were prone to coming loose and whipping the wings and scratching them. I believe alloygater was looking at solutions, but never heard if they had solved it |
