2011 Range Rover Sport 3.0 TDV6 HSE Santorini Black
Poor ol' Range :( [More photos uploaded]

5am everyone is asleep hear a huge revving and screeching noise before hearing a very loud bang, I’ve gone to look out the window and can't see anything. My mum and my dad went outside to see our 2007 Range Rover Sport HSE 3.6 V8 up on the pavement 10-15 meters down the road... They were going 70mph+ in a 30 zone, two of them ran away and two came back to get something from the car and got seen by an officer they were arrested and the car was deemed to be stolen (about 4 hours later we heard this 98% sure the car was hired and the person driving wasn't insured). So my dad had to claim on his insurance and he luckily took out gap insurance with the dealer Turbo Centre at Cuffley (Very nice people there would recommend that car dealership to anybody) And got paid out return to invoice with the money then bought a 1 month old 2011 Range Rover Sport HSE 3.0 Command shift which I am loving! So in the end we won out of it was just the hassle getting it all sorted out! Thank god for that gap insurance otherwise my dad would have been 10k in the red for just sleeping whilst his car is parked!

Barst Censored barst Censored barst Censored !!! I'm glad your dad came out ok in the end but only because he had the good sense to take out extra cover from the dealer. Many of us including me wouldn't have!
Such a shame that the irresponsible idiots that were driving the other car walked away from it ok. Would've been nice to hear that they were thrown from the car that they stole and were so recklessly driving and were crush between the RRS and their own car, died slowly in pain while bystanders set fire to their underpants Thumbs Up

Enjoy the new car! Cheers Laurence.

Well. What I cant work out is Why would anyone want to steal a Jag and go on the rampage. Unless of course it was the Mitchell Brothers, although I hear GRaaaant is in Portugal or somewhere similiar.
Thankfully your dad did have Gap insurance, although some insurance companies will pay out new for new up to 12 months old. (Think thats why mines so expensive). Two things I dont think I could sleep without are Gap and a Warranty! .

Glad no one was injured. Your poor Car Big Cry

Glad no-one was hurt. Shame about your dad's car. Hopefully the scrotes that did it will get dealt with appropriately, although, they will probably get a slap on the wrist and 3 points on the licence they probably don't have anyway! Oh ouch!! Glad that no one was hurt, but that is a shame about the car. Shouldn't be too hard to fix up, just an irritation Instructions are just the manufacturers opinion

The whole chassis was bent, the car was a write off and even if it wasn't my dad didn't want it back repaired because he wouldn't want to drive me and his family in a car which has had that damage put on it

All four of the people in the car ran off but two came back and got arrested, but we haven't heard anything from anyone apart from the insurance company really.

Tim it doesn't even look bad from that angle If anyone can tell me an easier way of uploading photos I can upload more I was using imageshack multi upload but when i used the link for forums it came with a tiny tiny thumbnail, I had to go onto the short link to the photo then copy another link from there

I'm trying to work out the car positions Question

Te Jag obviously is the one leaking oil and judging by it's positioning that's where it stopped after the crash... but if it was going 100mph it'll have been 30 yards down the road minimum surely?

anyone help me out? RRS gone

The range rover was parked outside our house which is 6 doors from where it landed, the jag has crashed into the back of the left hand wheel and shunted it 15 meters (roughly) down the road and hit the blue ford slightly as well

I will upload more photos once I find out an easier way to do it

i cant figure it out myself....

they were speeding certainly, but i very much doubt they managed to get to 100mph in an old crappy Jag, in what is clearly a residential area.

if you look at this picture, you can clearly see the bulding in the back of the picture, which is only 100 - 200 yards away - you're telling me that old Jag got to 100mph in 50 yards? because if it knocked the RRS 10 - 15metres thats all the distance it could have been doing MY10 HSE 3.0 TDV6 : Santorini Black : Ebony Interior w/Anigre wood : Privacy Glass (total) : Sunroof : Sidesteps : Hybrid TV : Detachable Tow Kit : Spare Wheel Cover : 22" Dished Supersports

Rolling Eyes C'mon guys, Give the lad a break for crying out loud. Who cares whether the Jag was actually doing 100mph or not... Are you telling me you've never overstimated or exagerated something, especially something that's come as a shock! Rolling Eyes Regardless of what the actual speed of the Jag was it's clearly been a severe impact that has wrecked his Dad's RRS. It's just lucky they didn't take out any innocent pedestrians into the bargain! How about some condemnation of these morons rather than a feeble attempt at a forensic examination of the poor kid from the comfort of behind your keyboards!
