Rear bumper dropped

After a recent knock in a car park I had the rear bumper repaired. It was quite badly damaged, as in the plastic was dented, ridged up and scratched. The bumper had also came away from the sides of the car a little.

Well the bumper was repaired, really pleased with it as it looks like new again but I do have one nagging issue. The bumper is not aligned properly, as in it does not fit tight against the panel above it. There is what looks like a black buffer seal that separates the bumper from the panel above it. And I have a gap of about 2 - 3 mm on both sides of the car.

Is there anyway this can be refitted so it is a nice tight fit with no gaps. Any ideas on how it can be done. I have never had the bumper off so no idea what is behind it. Does it mount on hangers on the sides or something similar? Can they be straightened if slightly bent? Is there anyway of tightening up the fit without removing the bumper altogether?

Any help on this would be appreciated as I'm looking for a cheap solution for this if there is one.

Thanks. 2017 Range Rover Sport Autobiography

I wonder if the pop clips were broken and not repaired.

There isnt a lot that holds the bumper on - about 8 screws and a few clips Mike

VA the bumper looks like new, just not mounted back up properly. If I could just get a good joint on both sides of the bodywork it would be completely sorted. 2017 Range Rover Sport Autobiography

Well I think this might be the way forward, however not having done it before I'm just trying to see what I'm letting myself in for and what parts I might need. 2017 Range Rover Sport Autobiography
