locking wheel nut removal, Help

Ive had new tyres all round on the rrs except one corner due to the locking wheel nut, been knackered. I put all new wheel nut and locking ones on earlier in the year, due to overtightened distorted nuts. I used the supplied wrench in the boot to remove the old nuts, and unknowingly damaged it. I put all the nuts on with the torque wrench, then just nipped up the new locking nuts with the Landy wrench, on the last nut it give way causing the top half of the nut to spin. Tried to line it up and use an impact wrench with considerable force behind it, pushing towards the hub, but no luck. I have tried drilling the nut but it has a hardened top, so the drill bit bearly scratches it. The cheap removal tools dont work as the head spins. Last option is to chisel it. Any one have a reccomendation befor i knacker my alloy?
Cheers Shepp

Not an uncommon problem; suggest you bin them and replace with regular nuts once sorted. I've not read of any theft of wheels other than the spare wheel (cable being cut).

Read this recent thread on the D3 site and then try a search using '+locking +nut +wheel' for more stories.

Should you not get anywhere with what tools you have, you may find that one of the tyre places will be able to remove it using special tools (which shows that the locking nuts are not a deterrent against fully-equipped thieves).

Good luck!

Thiers one for sale on ebay, might be worth buying if right money mines more than paid for itself,i was down at skegness the other week a guy who bought a caravan was'nt given the key for the lock nuts & he had a puncture so i charged the caravan company £240 to remove the nuts as their was no one esle that could remove it without damaging wheel.
if you do get the kit fone DYNOMEC for the removal key for the RR/JAGUAR nuts as this is not included in kit,its only £25.

Thanks ADY555
That sounds excellent, but the only problem is they are probably only open when i am working, I will contact them, but i have the RRS booked in with adventure 4x4 for the 26th,get the suspension calibrated, booked a days holiday, so may wait till then. If I do get chance, will be interesting to have a look at dynomec, especially for £10.
Thanks again ADY555 Thumbs Up

I can remove the other 3, no problem as i still have the key, but it will not get one of the little Censored off. What hours/days you work V8 Andy, the hardest thing i find is finding somewhere open when i am not working. especially since i am on call 24/7 for a week from thursday.

the domed top just spins, and the adaptor can not get a grip, tried it manually and with a air gun. I suspect it may need chiseling off, but if it can be done another way i am welcome to suggestions
