Blue RRSport passed by 911 on M62 E Yorks this afternoon?

Hi everyone, Very Happy

Passed a nice blue RRsport this afternoon with some big wheels (looked like 22's?) Cool
i've looked at RRsports before but not an owner at present but i just had to come on (got the link from someone on bm3w.co.uk) to see if its anyone on here or if anyone knows who it could be?
anyway i was in the dark blue 996C2 going flat stick who had 'just' passed you on the M62 (somewhere in E Yorks!) at about 183-4 (not PC i know)and then spotted a T5 parked up on the side of the motorway! Shocked Shocked Shocked
managed to scrub off about 110mph in a ridicously short space down to a legal speed and not lose control at the same time, the 2 guys in the rrsport got a very good view of my brown undies moment Laughing Laughing
coppers apparently none the wiser as they were busy pointing the radar gun the otherway!!!
The rrsport caught me up after we had passed them and we exchanged waves, funny at the time!!

anyone??

2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey

Glad you enjoyed the sight of an RRS............... there are a lot around now, mainly TDv6's but there are quite a few 4.2 Supercharged and a few less V8 4.4's. You should take yourself along to an LR dealer and have a test in an S/C. There is one thing I can guarantee you and that is that it will not do 18? on the M62 even if you got out and pushed! Reason is they are speed limited to 140 because of their All Terrain/ Mud and Snow tyres - I think you would be surprised................ even take a run in a TDv6 and you would be even more surprised! 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
2018 Melting Silver Mini Countryman PHEV - soon to be replaced
2015MY Corris Grey SDv6 HSE Dynamic, the best car I have ever owned, totally reliable only a cou0le of rattles in 3 years, now no longer in my care
Also in my garage is a 1996 TDi300 Defender 90 County HT made into a fake CSW

I think it's safe to say that it would not have been a TDV6 you were "Driving with" at those speeds.

2.5 tonnes and 190bhp is not particularly condusive to those speeds or acceleration! Then again, it's a lot better than you'd imagine.

As Tim rightly says, a S/C engine wise is a different prospect with more like 390bhp! Runner up - 2009 Best Avatar Award Sad

At least a Defender has 4 wheels and you cannot fall off it at high speed quite so easily..................... mainly because it cannot do a high speed! 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
