I had my 2010 TDV8 done only a couple of weeks ago (Superchip's Bluefin that is) and the improvement is just unbelievable, power up by about 40 bhp and torque is now almost 700nm.

Once the car is moving and you floor it she goes like hell, it's almost frightening Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy and if you drive normally fuel consumption goes down a bit (lower revs at legal highway speed), and with their bluefin kit you can always go back to the car's original ECU settings, which you can do yourself in less than five minutes.

It's still early times yet, have done about 1500 now miles now, but so far so good Thumbs Up Thumbs Up Thumbs Up SOMETIMES YOU'RE THE BUG AND SOMETIMES YOU'RE THE WINDSHIELD

2010 TDV8 Ultimate Edition, zermatt-ebony-grand lacquer, and all the goodies, plus Superchips Bluefin ECU performance upgrade, Gibson Performance exhaust tips

Many thanks. I think the blue fin is for diesels only but it sounds like you have excellent gains.

Roland I have been thinking about buying one of those. I have the same car as you but i have a DPF and wondered if i needed anything special in terms of programme because of this?

Any advice?

Neil,

My car also has a DPF and the guys at Superchips know exactly what they are doing. I am not having any issues so far.

Once you receive the bluefin kit it will read out your car's ECU and you will then upload your car's data to their site, so they'll know exactly what specs your car has got and provide you with the correct tuning.

BTW the TDV8 is a very de-tuned engine and seemingly there's a lot of scope for tuning. If you compare their figures for the TDV8 with the figures for the new TDV6 3.0 you will see that there's much less scope for improvement for the TDV6 engine. SOMETIMES YOU'RE THE BUG AND SOMETIMES YOU'RE THE WINDSHIELD
