United Kingdom 2007 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Zermatt Silver
Newbie saying Hi and seeking guidance

Hi guys,

Currently own a BMW 335i coupe - A fabulous car! But due to a change in circumstances (3rd child) I now require a large, comfortable, safe yet swift motor. Not ready to go the people carrier route yet and I really fancy a change, and have hence set my heart on a RRS (preferably a 4.2 s/c) - I appreciate higher running costs etc....but life is no rehearsal and not ready for diesel yet, besides I want to own a V8 before they become totally unobtainable.

I've currently got a few vehicles on Autotrader in my sights (Ideally looking for less than 35k miles) - What I'd like to understand - Are there any major differences (mechanical or otherwise) between 2005\6 cars and those manufactured up to 2009 i.e. face lifts, upgrades etc. There does not seem to much available via official dealer network, besides they seem a bit pricey. Hence if necessary I will budget for a LR warranty (subject to successful pre inspection at dealer). Any other advice most appreciated so please feel free to throw some tips my way.

Any guidance appreciated - I have searched however to not much avail.

Cheers.

Plenty of information on here if you search. At that age, probably worth scouring around and wouldn't bother with main dealer, you might as well buy indie and just tag on a decent warranty from a reputable supplier.....it will offer near same coverage as a LR warranty and the car price will be significantly less.

Anything upto 2009 is the same car as launch vehicles (54reg) exterior wise, TDV8 was an addition to the existing 2.7 slug and 4.2 put a smile on your face Supercharger.

Good luck and welcome. Thumbs Up L322 Big Daddy SUPERCHARGED 5.0 Autobiography - Here & Now!

Well here she is Very Happy

Went for the Supercharged in the end and absolutely thrilled I did. Comfy and civilized when transporting the family, an utter brute at other times. Love it. I could listen to the V8 all day.

Hey Will! I love my 2.7, it might be a little bit slow off the blocks, but otherwise the drive and pick up speed is fine.. Very Happy
