engine system fault strikes again!!!!!!

Hi all

Dropped the old girl off at the dealers again.(third time this year and counting LOL)

Engine system fault!.

I believe its either the one of the EGRs or one of waste gate actuators?

Anyway another cheery phone call to Warranty Direct. Kiel

A quick up date on the problem

It turns out it was a sticking actuator rod on one of the turbos

A quick quote for repair 50 quid for the parts 750 for labour!!!! Shocked

or a skoot of lube for a temp fix Smile

might as well get it repaired over to Warranty Direct "ah sir that part is not covered" Shocked

OK we'll stick with the lube for now Smile

well she's running fine for the moment (touch wood)

Thumbs Up Kiel

Ouch, makes me glad i renewed my LR Extended warranty.

I tried warranty wise when i had my M3 and quickly cancelled for a full refund, after reading the small print the amount of things they try to wriggle out of was unreal.

To be honest Chris, there did seem to be a break down in comunication between WD and Stratsone.WD cover the turbo(s)wastegates and the actuator but not the actuator rod. I can't see what could go wrong with the rod its self unless it involves some sort of linkage.

I'll try to sort it out tomorrow

Now talking of M3s that is one car I do miss

cheers for now Kiel
