United Kingdom 2009 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Stornoway Grey
Tow Bar + Electrics

Hi

I just got my Rang Rover today and there is a bit to bolt on a tow bar. Its a 2009 Model TDV8 , How much would it cost to get the electrics fitted and how easy is it?

Is there a plug and play kit or do i have to give car to a specialist to sort it for me?

Regards

Richie

Hi and welcome,

There is a plate on the back behine that is the attachment point for the removeble tow bar, you'll probably have a red stopper in it to keep out the muck. Tow bars and electrice are available on e-bay usually around the £100-£150 mark each. No idea on fitting prices or complexity but I dont think the electrics are as simple as plug and play.

I got a tow bar for £150 and the electrics were £80 off eBay. I haven't fitted the electrics yet, but understand it to be about an hour's work to fit.

Probably a little more than an hour but simple enough to do when you know where to pull.

you should expect around £100 for the genuine electrics and between £160-£200 for a second hand ball Mike
