Creaking and knocking suspension

So my 2010 RRS has developed a really annoying problem.

the knocking i could deal with to a certain extent. i'm booking my sport in for its first service next week, and one of the things i will be getting rectified will be the knocking suspension, but over the last couple of weeks I've noticed my suspension 'creaks' - really noticeably!

it is even more annoying than the knocking. it was really loud over the weekend (or rather, really noticeable) when i was in a multi storey car park and was following the spiral up and down.

has anyone ever experienced this, and is it related to the knocking suspension?

thanks in advance,

I had the same on mine, 58 plate.
I feel for you, its a pain in the arse (the creaking).
Was taken to LPR and was repaired under warranty, it was definately suspension related. TDV8 HST STORNOWAY ON A 58

Same as I had - take it to get sorted on warranty, all LR service centres know this problem. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

Thanks guys.... At least it's a known problem.

It's embarrassing on a high spec luxury vehicle that it creaks and knocks like an old clapped out motor! MY10 HSE 3.0 TDV6 : Santorini Black : Ebony Interior w/Anigre wood : Privacy Glass (total) : Sunroof : Sidesteps : Hybrid TV : Detachable Tow Kit : Spare Wheel Cover : 22" Dished Supersports

Creaking and Knocking

Hi,

I just read your thread. My RRS 07 is doing the same and its really annoying me. There is a loud creaking or crack when i turn and sometimes when i drive straight. It may do it 5 or 6 times on a long turn of the wheel! I have already replaced the bushes and it came straight back. Have you had yours fixed and if so can you please tell me what the problem was and how much it cost you.

Marc

Just been quoted £310 fro front ARB replacement with clamps and £207 for rear, they are worn to, this supposedly cures the creaking suspension, lot of money i think.

Did you get yours done and if so what were you charged, the above quote is from a dealer. --------------------------

I believe there is a re-designed clamp due out - your might want to ask your dealer if they are fitting the latest update.

Count yourself lucky you weren't an early adopter of these vehicles.........by today's standards at least you have a glut of information and help on the issue, we had silence.............for months / years whilst the weirdy beardies in the LR technical department simply shrugged their shoulders and picked the lunch from their beards wondering what technicality speech they could use on us the poor B Censored s driving them...........cue "characteristic"..........utterly ridiculous and still hilarity at the highest level from LR playing that card................... obviously that "characteristic" was carried over by request from the technical bods.
