dirt roads and bulldust
Nice to find this forum, as most of the chatter on the aulro.com forums in Australia seems focussed on the D3 and D4.
Looking at all the pictures here of bright and shiny Sports kitted up with bling - and getting increasingly aggravated at how Australian buyers get royally rogered compared with their British and US counterparts - and that's just when we walk into the showroom.
(Eg when I bought mine last year, and optioned it up with bigger wheels, sidesteps, a bit of after-market chrome here and there and a few other bits and pieces, I was $125,000 poorer. That's nearly 84,000 quid. What a gouge. And to think I bought the poverty pack version - base model RRS 3.0, no sunroof, surround cameras, adaptive cruise etc etc, just memory seats, towing pack and xenons. Although I did have the engine re-mapped. Oh, what a difference that makes.)
But what the hell, it's only money.
And at least we've got a big backyard to get dirty in.
These were taken in the Kimberley a few weeks ago, doing what these things are supposed to do. And no, I wasn't running the 20 inch wheels up the Gibb River Rd:-)
