My deepest sympathies !!!!!!, you could feather it back and touch it in, or get a local specialist to refurb it. I've given up on big wheels and low profile tyres, big & bouncy is the trouble free way ahead |

I would advise some dark glasses if the bruising hasn't gone down after 3 days. MY2011 HSE Santorini/Ivory/Piano Black/Privacy Glass/TV .Sadly gone.

I did EXACTLY the same thing a week after picking up my new Sport although on 20" wheels - even took a chunk out of the tyre. All repaired for £60 - including the tyre - by a local car cosmetic company and believe me when I say that you'd NEVER know. The likes of Wicked Wheels were quoting around £75-£90, and I have used them before and they have been superb.

i used a clear lacquer to seal the scrap on mine till i could get them sorted, better than water getting behind the paint and making the area bigger due to blistering |

Get a tin of Autoglym silver wheel paint and seal the damaged area, leave it a while and when you, sorry your wife has a few more incidents and you sorry she will, then get the wheel refurbed.

Theres a possibility that water will get under the remaining paint, making the damage worse & corrosion starting - which is probably not as bad as the damage to your mind and wallet every time you see the damaged wheels, I have been toying with some tarty rims on mine, but the garage put new tyres on it when I picked it up (dont know why 19k ?) The roads around Torbay are more like a forrest rally stage than an urban network so the balloon tyres add to the comfort so I'll probably leave it on the wimpy 17's that are on it now and stay curb free ! |
