2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey

Well I was a late starter as I didn't pass my test until I was 22 having concentrated on learning to drive much bigger but far slower things (ships) first. I'm now 54 and well remember some of the cars listed by the other children of the 1950's and 60's!

Ford Fiesta 1.1L - brought from my mother in 1978
Ford Fiestal 1.1 Festival - 1st new car
MG Metro 1.3
MG Maestro 2.0l Pale metallic blue
MG Maestro 2.0L White
TVR 420 SEAC (only kept it a year and sold it for more than I paid for it because it wasn't go to remain long in the college carpark in the centre of Glasgow while I was in the college studying so back to sensible cars
Rover 216GSI (the Honda Concerto version)
Rover 220 GSI Tourer
Audi 80 1.9Tdi Avant (most boring car I have ever owned, nothing ever went wrong)
Volvo 480ES (most unreliable car I have ever owned - never got further south than Forton services on the M6 in 8 attempts - it always drowned it's ECU in heavy rain!)
Rover 220 Turbo Coupe (returned to Rover as it leaked so badly)
Rover 216 GSI (the blobby one that became the Rover 25) bought new and sold within 4 months for
Land Rover Discovery 1 4.0l V8 ESi with every optional extra on the list - this car ran and ran and ran and nothing ever went wrong and after 4 years in my care I sold it to my brother who ran it for another 6 fault free years!
Land Rover Discovery 2 TD5 S Auto
Land Rover Freelander 1 TD4 GS Auto
Land Rover Defender 90 TDi300 Hard Top (still have it and have had 10 years fault free motoring with it)
Range Rover L322 range Rover TD6 SE (I saved for 28 years to buy this one after driving an RR Classic in Dubai in 1976 and vowing to myself that I would one day own a Range Rover)
Range Rover Sport 2.7TDv6 SE
Range Rover Sport TDv8 HSE
Range Rover L322 TDv8 Vogue (2010MY)
About to arrive Range Rover Evoque Coupe Dynamic Plus Lux Auto 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
2018 Melting Silver Mini Countryman PHEV - soon to be replaced
2015MY Corris Grey SDv6 HSE Dynamic, the best car I have ever owned, totally reliable only a cou0le of rattles in 3 years, now no longer in my care
Also in my garage is a 1996 TDi300 Defender 90 County HT made into a fake CSW

i have to admit tho i have never owned or am never likely to own a RRS. in my opinion theyre too big, too clumsy and they just dont do it for me.

my replacement is likely to be RS4 shaped.

Cracking sales pitch Laughing

i can only be honest Jonny.

they just dont do it for me, well not in standard form anyway. i appreciate everything they are and they are an awesome machine but im a car man and not a 4x4 man. just the way it is i guess. i have driven many many range rovers and they are a very nice place to be and drive nice and do have an amazing road presence but definitely not for me. bearing also in mind that i doubt very much i would be able to afford to run and maintain one Laughing Rolling with laughter

was the understated car when I was 17/18

everyone had nova SR's and these were cheaper to insure with more refinement
