Car insurance rip offs

Just a little heads up for anyone renewing car insurance.
SWMBO runs a Peugot 206 S and does about 5K miles a year mainly down to our local village rail station and Sainsbury's on Saturdays,my daughter is on the policy but is 25 in September.SWMBO has 10 years protected no claims and last speeding ticket was almost 5 years ago so one would have thought a good risk.
She's just had her renewal from the AA and it had gone up from about £800 to £1516.89 with Zurich plus interest at 26.9% APR to pay it monthly so a total of £1731 !!!
So I ring my corporate broker and on exactly the same terms get the same policy from Aviva for £594 i.e. over 60% less !!!
I love the quote on the covering letter:
"Car insurance prices have been rising recently so you may be pleased to know that the AA Deal Checker has automatically compared quotes from our panel of leading insurers to get you a great price " yeah great for them on 10% commision,"pleased","great price" do they think we are all stupid !!! MY2011 HSE Santorini/Ivory/Piano Black/Privacy Glass/TV .Sadly gone.

Even the new price seems high, but yes I get your point, what a bunch of tossers!! Makes me really angry...they use the current climate as an excuse to make more money.....

every year my insurance company takes the Censored and every year I shop about and get a far better price which the insurance company i'm already with beats to keep my business.

It is like some sort of game with them, i'm sure they just try it on and hope some customers just pay up instead of shopping around 2017 Range Rover Sport Autobiography
