United Kingdom 2011 Range Rover Sport 3.0 TDV6 HSE Santorini Black
Our new X6 has arrived

Can't wait to try it out tomorrow up to The Lakes and then down to Dorset on Thursday and finally back home on Friday via Stevenage and Cambridge.
We got the 3 seat option in the back to make it more usefull for picking up suppliers and customers.

Likes up to now:
Sat Nav light years ahead of LR.
Interface for music/Nav/telephone makes LR seem agricultural.
Boot space much bigger than I expected with large hidden are which can be locked seperately.
Press button auto open/close feature on tailgate great but not split which is poor.

Will update on driveability/performance as we go in the next few days. MY2011 HSE Santorini/Ivory/Piano Black/Privacy Glass/TV .Sadly gone.

Looks good mate. By the way your in car DVD/CD slot willmplay DVD s when stationary. You're right about the Nav system etc.......good colour choice. I can recommend a good polish for White cars if you're going to be cleaning it!!

He's not as fussy as me,if it was mine I'd be having it Detailed now to make it easier to keep clean especially the iron spots which are a nightmare on white paint. MY2011 HSE Santorini/Ivory/Piano Black/Privacy Glass/TV .Sadly gone.

The tar spots are easy to get rid of, just use a product called Tardis. But be warned, it strips off anything else, ie wax, polish etc, and should not be left on long..pass on the tip!!

Never really liked these when seen on the road, they just seem a bit of a neither car nor 4x4 if you know what I mean. But my initial reaction on seeing it,especially the second pick next to the RRS,is how dated the RRS looks Big Cry god that hurt

Well I went into this with an open mind bearing in mind the hassle I've had with mine, just got back from Kendal and this my update:

Likes up to now:
Sat Nav light years ahead of LR.
Interface for music/Nav/telephone makes LR seem agricultural.
Boot space much bigger than I expected with large hidden are which can be locked seperately.
Press button auto open/close feature on tailgate great but not split which is poor.

All the above features are light years ahead of the RRS BUT that's about it.
If the material on the seats and trim are leather they are from a little known breed of cow I've never seen think it's called Dupont !
The seats are base model and have little in the way of lumbar or lateral support.
Performance is hard to judge yet as they have instructed it can't go above 3500 revs for the 1st 1500 miles so no ragging yet unfortunately.
General feeling is that it is just like being in a 3 Series until you try to get out and there's a drop you aren't expecting.
Worst feature is that everything in the cabin slopes away from you giving a feeling of going downhill all the time.
So on balance its a big thumbs down from me. MY2011 HSE Santorini/Ivory/Piano Black/Privacy Glass/TV .Sadly gone.
