Fitting a phone cradle and computer

I have bought a Carcomm cradle for my HTC Desire phone in my 2011 RRS and am looking for the best place to mount it. At the momemt I am looking at some sort of metal plate shaped to fit the hockey stick but with a flat section to mount the cradle on.

I would like to fix it under the hockey stick on the RHS of the console. I haven't been able to find instructions to remove the 2011 hockeys but I am guessing it means removal of the console. Has anyone done this on a 2011?

Does anyone have any advice on where to pick up 12V, about .5 amp, power for the cradle.

I am also installing a Viliv X70 computer http://www.myviliv.com/eng/product/x70ex.asp for Nav, Internet, Music etc. thinking of installing it above the SatNAv in a custom binnacle or maybe using an outer instrument panel shell sourced from LR (~$140)? This would also provide some shading over the existing SatNaV. The computer needs 12v 2 amp. Now :3.0 TDV6, Stornoway grey, Premium Almond leather,Dynamic Pack , Paddle shifters, Rear Electronic Diff, Surround Camera System, Park Distance Control - Front, Tow Pack, 19 x 9" 5 V-Spoke wheels, Memory Pack, Cold Climate Pack, Carpet Mat Set, Roof rails, general Grabber ATs,

Ordered, due May 17 SDV6 Dynamic Loire Blue, Ivory, Drive Pro pack, Sliding roof, Heated seats and steering wheel, Surround cameras, Tow pack with Advanced Tow Assist, Meridian 825w sound,
