Is the above a pay for service? My sat nav in 07 car tells me about traffic but I have never subscribed to anything. Is this a live service, I'm not sure if should trust it. Thanks. You can live in your car but you cant race your house

IIRC It's actually piggy backed onto the signal for Classic FM and is a free service. Mind you I usually get the warning after I'm in the middle of the traffic jam.  RRS TDV8 (loving it)

It does go over classic (although you can change it apparently)

Ive not had much luck in this one - but in previous LR's and borrowed sports, it has given fair warning when under route guidance...not yet been in traffic to be warned! Mike

2014 Facelift Discovery

I started using the TomTom with live traffic when I first got the MY11 RRS but I found that the traffic warnings were pretty much the same over a trip from Berks to Scotland as with the built in system. That surprised me as I expected TMC to be pretty useless. I wish you could put POI's on it though.
