IIRC It's actually piggy backed onto the signal for Classic FM and is a free service. Mind you I usually get the warning after I'm in the middle of the traffic jam. RRS TDV8 (loving it)

It does go over classic (although you can change it apparently)

I started using the TomTom with live traffic when I first got the MY11 RRS but I found that the traffic warnings were pretty much the same over a trip from Berks to Scotland as with the built in system. That surprised me as I expected TMC to be pretty useless. I wish you could put POI's on it though. |
