United Kingdom 2010 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Santorini Black
45bhp

Firstly sorry to those who have read the thread already but I thought it might be more appeopiate under this technical section. I have been offered a 45bhp increase re-map which can't be detected for £500 is it worth doing? RRS

Is 45bhp worth throwing the warranty away for?

They would have to look hard to find it if something did happen but all the same they still could say no

its not all about increased bhp too, what about the torque levels and are any of these maxing out the permitted tolerances on things like the gearbox etc

also things to look at for a installed remap are things like what if the dealers overwrite it with a update, and what the costs are for the reinstall, is it off the shelf or tuned to your particular car etc

other rempas out there from companies (inc our sponsors) that are tune to the car and the drivers needs and can be taken off by a unit by yourself

I vote yes but £500 does sound very steep. I'd suggest shopping around. Who is this with? And is it the 2.7 or 3.0 TDV6 or the TDV8?

At the moment very few places seem to be offering a remap on the 3.0. WINNER - 2009 ‘Just Doing What It’s Designed To Do’ Award
