Cheers mate, I think I have the part number now, its LR017037. I will get the dealer to order it. I have seen a couple on Ebay but was worried they may not be genuine parts. I don't want to cause any problems with the warranty. |

Folks am I right in thinking that when you replace the steering wheel you don't also replace the centre part that covers the air bag? I called one of the refinishers and they said you only get the actual steering wheel which seems a bit daft.

Jonathan, if you go to powerful UK's website they have a fitting video, also on youtube as well I think, shows what bits you transfer over and how to do it all. Looks simple enough. When my wheel gets a little worse I will upgrade mine, but until then I'll just keep applying leather treatments which seem to be re-hydrating the dry parts of the leather. |

Thanks to everyone who responded. NickM thanks for the details, looks like it's Ebay. Dealer wants 205 plus VAT and fitting ! |

I got my smooth napa leather wheel from keithjohnbaker. Followed instructions on this site and it took about twenty minutes. I also purchased from him a smooth napa leather gear shift knob with boot for a FFRR and adapted for my 09 sport by trimming the boot and filing down the shaft so it matches the wheel. mike murphy |
