Fake wood?? Mines real Very Happy

I believe that you can detach it and replace with other trims, not sure if you can add leather panels but there are alternatives available, look on fleabay etc

The wood on my door cards doesn't look too bad, the hockey sticks on the other hand...

I toyed with the idea of a piano black upgrade, but didn't think it would look right with the alpaca leather an light trim panels

My leather is biscuit colour, but the wood is a pale teak colour(best description I can think of)Its the worse thing on the car I think, apart from as you say the hockey sticks.

just checked powerful UK

Hockey sticks £140
Door panel kit £325
Door pulls £90

Makes the change come in around £555. Seems a lot of money IMHO

Hi Simon, where did you find the hockey sticks on Powerful Uk,I looked last night but couldn't see them. The good thing about them is normally they do a video demo of how to remove/replace their products.Do you know if they are an exchange item aswell?
Cheers
Steve
Ignore all that, looked with my eyes open this morning :oops:Sadly no video of how to remove them.

I think the door trims come off with a couple of screws, when I replaced all the horrible gold and green badges on the car I noticed the door trims (in the front at least) are held on with a screw behind the badge and I presume there is another fastener or 2 behind the door release handle. After that I guess it's just clips but I am sure that someone has done this before and will come and share their knowledge soon...

If it could all be done for a couple of hundred I think I would go for it, but £550 is a substantial chunk of change for a car that I may or may not keep for much longer. I think that it would improve the interior immeasurably but having test driven a full fat vogue se, it is still going to feel less than premium.

Possibly you may be able to release the door release handle and then if there is sufficient play be able to orientate it to go through the opening in the wood trim without having to detach it completely?

Having done a lot of work in nephrology let me assure you that dialysis is not fun, keep your remaining kidney. Possibly sell a section of your spleen Laughing

I have seen some people removing and vinyl wrapping in piano black for next to nothing, if done right looks as good as real thing
