Road tax is a joke, especially when you look at the state of our roads across the whole of the uk, then take into account the fact that the revenue created by road tax is not entirely invested back into the transport network.
It's actually only around five percent of the road tax revenue that goes back into the roads, robbing Censored

For someone who can't decide what car to drive and is currently tooling around in a hairdressers sportscar , that's a brave statement Very Happy Whistle Thumbs Up

Seriously though, no-one likes to pay more than they have to for anything...

I sold it because it wa 4 years old, 70k miles and the right thing to do...and what the frig has what car I drive now got to do with it? Very Happy Tyres on my Z cost £325 a corner.....i knew run flats are crazy money, but I can't complain. And look at Top Gear review for the Z on you tube!!

RRS ownership's never going to be cheap....you knew your road tax would be in the highest bracket, you knew what servicing costs were like......IMHO the only thing we can moan about is fuel costs. Parts, servicing, Tyres, pads etc, we all knew the costs were never going to be cheap...fantastic car, great prestige but at a Cost. But a cost thats worth it...... Thumbs Up

Nick is that for 19's? My cousin treated himself to a 3 litre z4 (a 54 plate IIRC) and he needs 2 new tyres. Was crying into his pint about the running costs the other day, but then he has come from the old diesel golf he had as a student. He is now workin in Slough and that price seemed better than what he had quoted - I think. I may have a couple of beers by this point...
