Knocking

I had my knock diagonsed as front bottom ball joints by a LR specialist.Their solution was to change both front wishbones at a cost of £650,when I asked why not change just the ball joints they said not cost effective due to labour charges as they would have to take the wishbones off and press the ball joints in and out.I thought this was crazy as I could get the ball joints for £34 from a mate that has a garage. So today equiped with a ball joint splitter that cost me £50 from ebay I did both sides on my drive in just over 2 hours without removing the wishbones. The bad news is its not cured the knock, the good news it only cost me £84 not £650 to find it isn't that. Knocking

I too suffered from the knock, I was changing the front ARB every few months, then last summer I changed the front lower wish bones and this has fixed the problem of the knock.

It worked out cheaper and quicker for me to change the lower wish bones complete rather than try to change each bush (3 per wish bone) and of course a press needed, wish bone also came complete with new ball joint.

Simple unbolt and bolt job, bare in mind you will need to get your alignment done after this job.
