Reversing Sensors

Hi All,
Does anybody know how I can shut the reversing sensors off sooner on my 06 plate RR Sport, as when for instance reversing from a parking bay in a supermarket car park and then driving through all the bays towards the exit they don't switch of until I get onto the main road doing a certain MPH I.e. 20 MPH

Hi Bobby
Yes I have done that but then found they dont come back on automaticly when you next go into reverse, last time I did it, it cost me £120 for the dink repair where I cought the car behind (wasn't happy lol)

Your problem is not with the rear sensors but the front ones not switching off since you have not reached the required speed. In such situations one presses the above mentioned switch to deactivate the front sensors. However, the whole system should come back on when you next select reverse.

If its not doing that then there's something else wrong with it.

There is a self diagnose system...

As part of the strategy of the system, the self-test will inform the driver of any faults by a combination of the LED and tones:

*The status LED will flash if the system is active and a fault is detected in the sensors, sounders, wiring or module

*The front sounder will emit an error tone for 3 seconds if a fault is detected with the front sensors or if the rear sounder develops a fault

*The rear sounder will emit an error tone for 3 seconds if a fault is detected with the rear sensors, the switch, or the LED in the switch, or if there is a controller area network (CAN) bus error Malaysia Boleh!
