The keys are self charging so its very unlikely they would both die at the same time. Also im aware that if your key batt is low, say if you havn't used that key for months when you put it in the ignition you should get a key batt low warning on the dash....i think.

Noooo, i think they are seald so you cant tamper and have to pay the £300 plus for your stealer to sort them out. Sorry to put you on a downer. I doubt very much that something has come loose in the key let alone both at the same time. Do they do it everywhere you are or just at home??? |

When you say it works sometimes, what works or doesn't? Are you saying it just doesn't lock or unlock the car sometimes? |

You probably know this but just in case. The key and the remote are totaly seperate, ie the key bit is just an old fasioned key in a fancy box and the remote is basically just an alarm remote that unlocks the doors. As far as i know there are no special chips or fancy immobilisers. If your fob doesn't unlock the car it will still start, am i right??

Receiver seems to be the issue when two keys start failing- read this thread on the sister site. |
