If your away and don't have wifi then you'll pay a 3G data charge just like if you was surfing the net

Which in a lot of places is much more expensive on roaming than making the call conventionally! Will have to see if i can get a few more local data sim cards when I travel. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Not yet, the company are working on it - at the moment we only have dial-up email over a satellite link but the price of always online is coming down. Some of the terminals we call at have free access wifi but it's often overfloaded especially when my 22 crew all want to get online at the same time. Best places to go for us are the seamans' missions where there is usually a small sum to pay for access. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

I've been using Skype on the iphone for quite a while, and this works a treat too.
My Wife travels to the Far East alot, so it means we can speak for free without worrying about the exorbitant hotel bills.
I've found the calls to the iphone app are much better than calls to either a landline or mobile too, none of the Norman Colliers going on with the voice breaking up!
