a good way to lightly polish back your local spots is by using jeweller's rouge or toothpaste on a small (but big enough to use your index finger ) bit of old damp chamios leather. It will work as its a very fine abrasive powder thats also quite 'soft'.

Also very good for removing marks, light scratches on your windscreen caused by mucky wiper blades.

There is a company called drcolorchip.com that makes it much easier to touch up rock chips. Very simple process. They have all color codes and provide you with their system which takes about 15 minutes. I used on my Santorini Black and my wifes full size Java Black. Check it out at www.drcolorchip.com

theres a UK based system called chip-ex too which gives similar results on chips, though tried it on a scratch on my FIL car yesterday and the results were poorer than expected

Hi Nick, Is it the same process as Dr. Colorchip? DCC is a system where you dab the chip with the paint then
immediately smear it with your thumb (you have a thin rubber glove on they provide you) you let it dry up to 1 hour and then using the solution they provide, rub it over the chip and it removes all the excess paint leaving the chip perfectly blended.
Just curious. It worked well on both my wife's and my car. Cheers! Mike mike murphy
