Access height

Is there any way that Access height can be the default mode when the ignition is turned off...it seems a bit daft that i have to access the car to lower the car to access mode...i think it would be better if the car dropped to access mode when the ignition is turned off...any ideas if this can be done? Gone but not forgotten, 2005 RRS SC first edition, BMW 2010 Z4,TVR Tamora, TVR Cerb, MERC SL 55 AMG, E46 M3, Z4, Jag S type R, Skyline R33 GTR 640 bhp, Evo FQ 400, L322 RR, X5, Lotus Esprit V8 twin turbo, Lotus Elise 135r, Nissan Murano, Honda S2000, 911, Boxster s...and a few more

I think it's a manual option as standard to stop the car lowering itself onto things accidently.

Whether you can reprogram it to do it every time you turn the ignition off I don't know.

it seems daft to have to access the car to set the suspension height so you can access the car easily....makes no sense Shocked Gone but not forgotten, 2005 RRS SC first edition, BMW 2010 Z4,TVR Tamora, TVR Cerb, MERC SL 55 AMG, E46 M3, Z4, Jag S type R, Skyline R33 GTR 640 bhp, Evo FQ 400, L322 RR, X5, Lotus Esprit V8 twin turbo, Lotus Elise 135r, Nissan Murano, Honda S2000, 911, Boxster s...and a few more

When I had mine, I just got into the habit (fairly quickly) of dropping it into access height as I approached wherever I intended to stop. As said I think it's a valid safety feature to make sure there is some manual input into the process rather that the car just potentially beaching itself. ON THE WAY: BMW F21 M140i

So how come you are quite happy to get out of the car with suspension at normal height and yet you want it at access height to get back in?

as said above flick the switch just as you arrive at park destination 5.0 Ltr Superchrged RRS2, Chile Red, Sideways out of junctions!

You can use your key to change access height . To lower your vehicle doors must be closed and hazards on. Best look on page 83 but you have to press and hold the button with the light emblem and then press the boot emblem. Magic.

My dealer told me I could programme the key to do three things, one was lower to access, the second to open the boot and the third was to do something else I now forget Embarassed but I think I might have been wrong. He said it was something like sitting in the car with the ignition on and holding the fob buttons... Would love that!

I personally just park it up with access, it looks ace with it that way, but normal day to day I just leave as is. Big lanky legs, so not an issue Wink
