2011 Range Rover Sport TDV8 Autobiography Stornoway Grey

Sidelight Replacement

First of all i tried a quick search and couldn't come up with anything so here goes:

Tried to swap out my sidelights this afternoon which led to the previous thread of the horn sounding.

My question is has anyone else struggle to get the bulb out of the holders, mine were rock solid and did not want to move....so much so that i gave up and left them.

Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

I changed mine a few weeks ago...it was an easy job buddy V8 - HST Supercharger ..... The only way forward !

Yeah the entire process was simple except getting the damn bulbs out the actual holder i thought they were going to break at one point and leave a bit stuck in the holder so i decided to stop.

Chris i assume you took the headlight out to do this, did you try to twist the bulb holder to get the bulb out? Or did you just try to pull the bulb holder out?

Ady i meant the bulb from the holder not the holder from the headlight mate.

Like i say the whole process was easy enough but the bulbs themselves felt solid in the holders, i was pulling on them a fair bit and they did not budge

Did you try and push the bulbs in a bit then twist? Only a slight twist though it may just release the bulb

Hahaha would help if i were not trying to change the wrong bulb in the first place

Sorted now and took less than 10 mins start to finish.
