Northern Ireland 2011 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Bali Blue

Just purchased a cosworth rrs from Kahn, to say I'm disappointed is the understatement of the year! Have a number of issues that need to be resolved, their response was to get their solicitor to email me! Customer service at it's worst! Feel like I've been ripped off.

Don't want to go into all details as it looks like a legal one! Let's just say some parts of the conversion are excellent and others are nothing short of shabby. They seem to like to cut corners. Will keep you informed.

Oh dear, oh dear.

Well by what I have experienced and with the positive vibes by Martin, all in all its all been a little disappointing to say the least. I was very much in the market for the RS600 Big Daddy, was being the key word.

The contact and updates were sporadic to say the least (surprising considering the economic gloom and doom), when I was finally given an update the car I was lusting over had gone. Was promised an update on uncovering a new vehicle, but alas nowt.

Whilst i'm on the subject of service, it seems after speaking to some old and new friends of the forum {some} Land Rover / Range Rover dealers seem to be of the same mindset as the BMW / Merc dealers of the 90's/00's and beyond, we don't need to sell you a car, they sell themselves and if you don't want it then that's fine, some other punter will. WRONG, WRONG, WRONG.

I personally go for the best overall service and keenness and willingness to do business, something that is lacking (it seems) by a lot of dealers. A phone call and therefore qualification of the potential buyer takes a few minutes and if handled with the professionalism it deserves and with naturally the right car, voila a sale.........it really it that simple.

If on the other hand it involves me lifting a handset and chasing or as in the case of a fellow member on here, utterly ignored, then I will go elsewhere. On some occasions I have opted for the telephone purchase of which I have never had a bad thing to say (excluding BMW - Derek Woodman's - useless to say the least).

My point: Yes LR / RR have an incredible range of cars these days, but please salespersons take heed, not all of us take kindly to the lacklustre approach to sales and those not off-put by scouring the length and breadth of the country for the right deal with the right car (even using the phone) will simply go elsewhere........loyalists to the brand, especially........we pay a premium not just for the vehicles, but also the polished sales and service experience that should be a given......if I wanted Nissan service and sales quality I would (kill myself) but opt for said product.

James - thanks for your email, you are excluded from this naturally Wink I am pondering your weighted suggestion and will let you know soonest.

Martin (Kahn) - Crying or Very sad (no more to be said really)

Farnell (Leeds) - also excluded Mr. Green L322 Big Daddy SUPERCHARGED 5.0 Autobiography - Here & Now!

Well it does seem that Martin from Khan is not a man of his word like I one posted. I was too awaiting a price on some exhaust tips and nothing has arrived which is quite sad as I gave him the benefit of the doubt and made the effort to go and see him.

Tut tut khan.... Smile

The worst dealer I have ever dealt with was Porsche Bolton.....the sales guy gave me all the wrong info, and was going to call me back when the car I wanted to test drive was available, I made it clear I was very serious.....this was in January, I am still waiting for the phone call Rolling Eyes

I find it hard to believe how so many companies survive when they cannot get the absolute basics right.

Customer service should be paramount and as many have said already communication is the key. A simple return phonecall goes a long way, even if you do not have an answer to the customers query at least telephone to let them know you are working on it.

To be honest i am not a fan of the Kahn Range but i did send a query to them and as yet i await a reply...... i have already been put off dealing with them as a direct result of people's comments on this thread. It seems to me that as a company they display a very poor level of customer service, something that i am sure Martin assured us he was working to resolve when he first posted on here.

I would be interested to see Kahn's side of the story on here.

jo, (siberianfox)

i emailed you a few selections of tailpipes available and also a list of prices for the pipes used......

i can certainly resend you this no problem. i hadnt heard from you so assumed that you had decided against the idea.

Will Wonka... i am really disappointed in what you are telling me as i dont deal with the sale of the cars themselves so had to pass your query on and was told it was being dealt with.

In relation to the cosworth that was sold i have heard nothing regarding this in the office.

i will check into this and p.m you

gutted to say the least

Foxy,

dont buy the Kahn stuff we will be discussing this further...

as requested by Martin, i PM'd him my issues, and am yet to get an answer/ result... its tedious and boring, i did see a 2010 autobiography with a kahn kit which i must admit looked nice, however, i wouldnt spend 1 penny with kahn until my previous issues had been rectified/ monies refunded.

dont think thats gona happen, so not spending with Kahn again. RR Sport supercharged 06

its clear in the fact that, i had a kit, my car was in an accident, new kit was sent to one of the best bodyshops in the uk, the material was rubbish and didnt sprey up the same colour, it all warped, the powder coated breaks chipped, chrome vents and foglights chipped, the stuff was craply made and the customer service left alot to be desired...

its pretty clear cut no? RR Sport supercharged 06

My personal opinion is not to waste your money on anything named Kahn, it leaves a bad taste in your mouth, beauty is only skin deep, it's one thing looking good but build quality is another. I don't know how cosworth want anything to do with these guys.

Martin,

Whilst I appreciate it seems you very much have your work cut out in redefining peoples experiences and perceptions here, I was willing to look past all of that and cast my own judgements based solely on merit, if indeed that was applicable and 1-2-1 judgement.

Gutted indeed, but perhaps (and I am no business guidance champion here) it is time to get things drummed into the staff members who seemingly are damaging (incredibly well) the very business you are attempting to apply sure footing too.

Without sounding like Percy the parrot {SQUARK}.....with the current economic doom and gloom and if things don't change v. quickly and for the better, it can only spell disaster for your company.......if the might of Overfinch in its previous incarnation could not survive (probably due to exorbitant pricing structures in all honesty) then who is to take second lemon prize? Makes you wonder Confused

If you manage to sort out the issues in front of you, great and if you can find somebody lacking in total incompetence who wants to sell cars and professionally, can also use a phone & email to keep people up-to-date should a situation arise, then by all means feel free to PM me...........if not, I wish you the best of luck but I will be purchasing a car, elsewhere. L322 Big Daddy SUPERCHARGED 5.0 Autobiography - Here & Now!
