Finance

Well seems I got a better deal on my RRS than I could have hoped for thanks to an internal cock up with the finance company Very Happy
They cocked the figures up on the finance agreement which I happly signed.Thought it was a good discount Exclamation They did have 6 months lead time from ordering to delivery to get it right and failed.
They released the car to me.Now they've realised and tried this week to fool me into signing a new set of documents. Not on your nelly.
Checked it out with a solicitor and confirmed its their tough luck.
Had a call from finance this morning appologising and confirming the mistake is not my problem.

Why should you have to compromise for their mistake?

Especially when they contacted you to say it wasn't your problem?

You could refinance mate, and give them the big finger. but considering its still so early on in the agreement, there will be a massive interest charge and early settlement fees, but just for the matter of interest, see what the settlement figure would be on the original agreement (as it may still be less that the true balance that you took out because of their error) and i'll see if we can work something better out for you?

I've sold out for an offer of compensation. It seems it's when I changed the order to include the dynamic pack someone cocked up and didn't update the agreement on the system. Solicitor advises if I've got the D/Pack then I owe them for it. Hey Ho it was fun while it lasted.
But they've got me over a barrel on the order form I signed. Not worth messing with credit ratings by pushing on to Court.
Still I was able to reduce the bill as it highlighted other discrepancies in the figures. Bunch of theiving toe rags Exclamation But before I post it I'm waiting for a copy of the invoice.

Got the invoice at last which proves that total figure was less than what was on the new forms they wanted me to sign but not quite as good as the form I did sign. Shame.
Strange, I bet they wouldn't have told me I was paying too much.
Still sorted now. Suppose I'll have to make the first payment in May. TDV6 - gone
