Hi everyone. was at the dealer yesterday. Service manager is a friend. He'd 'phoned to say there was a patch to improve the heaters efficiency. When I dropped it off I asked about ECU upgrade,which he said would be automatically done.
WHAT A DIFFERENCE!! is now much more responsive, no hesitancy at junctions, smoother ,quieter,faster(que the Six Million Dollar Man theme.)
The patch does something technical to the injectors. The heater is also much better,more controlable. I will keep you posted as I think my MPG is better.I have also to let the dealer know as mine is the first they had done.  Rimini Red HSE (D).Gone but not forgotten!
Subaru Impreza Turbo (UK) 1998- had her since new,could not part with her. Used for weekend blasts! Pehaps the Best 4by4byFar!

Mine was done 2 weeks ago and I have noted the same (except for the FBH!) improvements Jason. Which dealer are you using Taggarts or Shields? I use Morrison's. Taggarts are too far away for me and have heard nothing but grief from customers of Shields................. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Thanks for the info, the "ECU Upgrade" you mention sounds like the "chipping" ECU upgrade or am I totally confused?  It's finally gone! Replaced with BMW 730SE in Sophisto grey Xirallic finish with Oyster (Ivory) and black interior. DAB, Climate glass, Ceramic iDrive and gear selector, power boot and iPhone Bluetooth pack - luvvin' it!

I miss my old RRS "bucket" rattling around but it just had to go!

It isn't a chip at all.................... there have been a lot of issues with poor warm-up, flat spots, and poor running engines so the ECU software has been upgraded and it is installed when your car goes in for attention or a service and should cure all sorts of problems with Hifi. air con distribution, ventilation, engine performance and so on. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Tim- I'm using Taggarts in Motherwell as they are the supplying dealer. They have been great so far(but my friend works there).
