Dead easy Pat, but buy yourself some heavy duty sticky back foam and put some around the tip where it is close to the suspension damper weights - if not you get a rattling when the engine is idling. The tips just slide over and screw tight with an Allen key getting them level can be a bit of a trial but even me with two left hands managed it on my TDv8. I even removed them and sold them on just before I traded the car back to LPR and they now live in Italy! One problem with them though is that they can become discoloured with soot but a regular wash off with soft cloth and pure lemon juice clears that without having to take a scotch pad to them......... Here is my TDv8 with the tail pipe covers fitted and before they got straightened up
If anybody is interested the registration is on retention and I will be putting up for sale in February - I was offered 10k for the plate by the owner of a Focus RS who was desperate to buy it but I turned down the offer - now I don't have an RRS perhaps somebody else might to buy it for their RRS - it would also work on a chipped/ moded RS Audi or RS Porsche as well as an RS Ford I suppose - FAST RRS or even FASTR RS?? Admin note: this post has had its images recovered from a money grabbing photo hosting site and reinstated 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it 2018 Melting Silver Mini Countryman PHEV - soon to be replaced 2015MY Corris Grey SDv6 HSE Dynamic, the best car I have ever owned, totally reliable only a cou0le of rattles in 3 years, now no longer in my care Also in my garage is a 1996 TDi300 Defender 90 County HT made into a fake CSW |
