I just worry about that Censored engine.

You're supposed to check the oil EVERY time you fill it up. And at 23mpg (Friend of Mrs ST has one) that's a lot of oil checks/top ups.

They are heavy oil consumers Runner up - 2009 Best Avatar Award Sad

And anything called Censored is always going to cause trouble! Laughing

We we're talking about Focuses the other day... they're actually OK cars and if it's just to hoof about from home/shops etc then what's the problem? Keep the RRS for when people say "what car have you got?" and send Mrs SuperT off to the shops in the Focus.

A focus ST could be an ption. I couldn't bring myself to buy a bog standard junior repmobile.

Snobbish I know but I have standards!

Maybe an Orange ST would cause a bit of a stir! Runner up - 2009 Best Avatar Award Sad

United Kingdom 2006 Range Rover Sport TDV6 SE Arctic Frost

Ford are bringing out the Focus Cabriolet soon. I saw a few photo's of it a work last night. Not a bad option as a second / wifey car.

So maybe that would fit the bill. Arctic Frost TDV6 SE. Aspen Leather, Cherry Wood, Privacy Glass, PTI, Tow Pack, Mudflaps, Tasmods, a new Fuelflap, a RRSport.co.uk umbrella in the boot & a RRSport.co.uk sticker on the rear glass.

Yeah, but a burberry baseball cap would go well with a Focus Cabriolet. Laughing Arctic Frost TDV6 SE. Aspen Leather, Cherry Wood, Privacy Glass, PTI, Tow Pack, Mudflaps, Tasmods, a new Fuelflap, a RRSport.co.uk umbrella in the boot & a RRSport.co.uk sticker on the rear glass.

Right. Lets re-group and re-focus! When we get there, the situation will be:

Currently have RRS TDV6 and need a 2nd car.

Poss Focus ST or RX-8

Would like a RRS V8D S/C spec, and TDV6 for Mrs ST. She doesn't agree! We don't need 2 big cars. OK

Back to RRS TDV6 and one of 2 above.

Long term aim is to have RRS V8D S/C spec for 'Big car' and a Gallardo

Problem is TDV8 = CYŁ90k (UKŁ111k)
Gallardo = CYŁ160k(UKŁ196k) And probably no dealer in sight!

Not really an option unless things REALLY go well!

Back to sq 1!!!!

TDV6 + Focus ST/RX-8..............

Could sell RRS and make a stinking great profit on it (Could probably sell it for approx. CYŁ54k/UKŁ66.5k)

You could really sell your current RRS in Cyprus for 66k? Shocked

Trouble with going the DV8 route is the wait though...

It's a good thought and UK price is attractive.

Problem is you would need to add approx. CYŁ25,600 duty to that price (+UKŁ31,400!) Big Cry Runner up - 2009 Best Avatar Award Sad

SuperT, why not get a Series 1 Landy like the ones parked by the door at LRE Solihull ? Or you could go way up market and get a 20 year old Series 3. 2.25 l engines less powerful than a lawn mower and more rattles than a desert snake but enough character to star in Shrek 3. You know it makes sense...... RRS TDv8 HSE Rimini
