Does anyone have any photos of the location of the drain and level plug for the autobox?
I'd like to change the fluid and do a mega flush..
(It's a TDV6 engine but no info on the box fitted) Cheers Paul

Speak to a stealer, worth a shot, most LR dealers are happy to provide guidance over the phone if you speak to them nicely or as in my case, more appropriately

I've just done a double oil change on my autobox, OMG it was black!!

It's now a lovely red colour, More inportantly the shunt when slowing down has gone.. Well worth the time and trouble.

How hard was it to do, is the 4.2 S/C the same process?

Not sure if it's the same box but it was an easy job, remove 6 screws from the auto box cover plate & remove the plastic plate, Remove level plug (allen key socket) then remove drain plug (allen key socket), refit drain plug and fill to level...

Drove it around for a few mins and did it all again. Hope that helps Cheers Paul

hi what type of gearbox oil did you use for the tdv6 ?

How do i fill it up again once drained off

I want to do this now that my RRS is 5 years + even though it only has 33k miles.

Carlos I refilled it with a large syringe (about 2" in diameter and around 12" long) A plastic bottle with a pipe on would do the job. Cheers Paul

Very interesting, my car has done 24,000 miles and also has the slowing down "shunt", the car is still under waranty and when I put it into the landrover Dealer they told me they could detect the "clonk/ shunt" on slowing down but it was a characteristic of the car!!! What a load of crap!!!

Perhaps a gearbox oil change would be worth trying.

hi paul where did you purchase this Airwolf Automatic Transmission Fluid from and what was the cost i have read that you should use this for the Range Rover Sport ZF Auto Shell ATF Fluid M1375.4 is this not true
