is it the temperature sensor that clips to the land rover badge on the grill?? |

That could be it. There was nothing connected to the grille so sounds a reasonable idea!

I thought the temperature sensor sits behind the upper void in the bumper..... Do you have a temperature reading on your dash display??

The bits I could find where to do with a smog sensor for the japanese market or even possibly an engine block heater, but doubt it would be the latter!

Ive noticed this when ive looked in the front grille, to me it looks bad like someone has added some thing last minute. |

Ok so it is meant to be there but not necessarily attached to anything.
