New member, first post.

I recently bought a 2006 RRS Supercharged, and am currently assessing my options for winter wheel & tyre packages. My car is from southern Europe, and came with painted (black) 20" wheels fitted with tyres clearly not designed for driving in the snow.

I live in Switzerland, so it's a fairly safe bet that I'll need a good winter package for the next 2-3 months.

Does anyone know of a good place to get a set of winter wheels & tyres? The dealership here quoted me 4,500 francs (~3,000 GBP) for a set (fully mounted & balanced)...but I'm quite sure I can find a better deal somewhere.

If you can be bothered with the hassle, it's much cheaper if you buy a set of wheels from somewhere like ebay (or this site!), then have new tyres fitted. That's what I did

For reference, I paid £190 for a full set of 19 inch wheels off ebay, and replaced the tyres for brand new Vredestein Wintrac Xtremes for a further £630.
