Australia 2009 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Bourneville
New 22'' Rims

Hi new guy here, I'd like to talk about my new 22'' rims.
I've had 3 land rovers 1st being a TD5 and the 2nd a LR3 and now a RRS TDV8 2009.
I bought it new with 20'' rims and Continental sport contact. Good dry road tyre but crap wet tyre. Thay have done 30,000km and worn very even with no rotation also that is 95% towing a 2 tonne trailer to work every day. Probably would have got 3 to 5,000km more out of them if I didn't retire them.
Replaced them with 22'' Apec Stormer with Atturo 285/35/22. The reason I bought the new rims and tyres is that they wore the same price as if I bought 4 new Hankook Ventus, believe it or not. We get ripped off with motorcycle tyres here too! but that's another story.
They look great but I was a bit hesitant to go ahead with them because I hadn't driven with anyone with 22'' rims and didn't know what the ride quality would be like. To be honest it's no difference from the 20'' and because it is new rubber they feel better. I have noticed one thing and that is it steers better. I don't know if it has anything to do with a wider tred now but feels more sure footed.
P.S. do you have to use photo bucket or simaler to post photo? Thumbs Up

I saw a "pimped out" L322 today, it actually looked horrendous and had 22" wheels in black...........but somehow it gave it a massive wide stance and looked good........shame about the rest of the car Big Cry

Sports {normally} look ok with the 22's, Nick M has the Stormer replicas and it makes his look very distinguished compared to the 20's.

WRT piccies, apply to your Gallery or use the bucket of photos to show them off. A search will turn up the process on here. L322 Big Daddy SUPERCHARGED 5.0 Autobiography - Here & Now!
