2008 TDV6 Front Brake Upgrade to 380mm

I've done a search and not quite come across the answer I was looking for...

I also know there are some uber expensive brake upgrade kits for the RRS but...

Does anyone know if the 380mm discs are a bolt on upgrade option for TDV6 owners? Perhaps with a caliper spacer to move the OEM calipers out a bit?

I've just come back from a Swiss trip, four up with a boot full of gear and 2 top boxes and the only thing I'd say is that I'd prefer a little less braking effort for the effect generated.

I'm wondering if simply fitting a bigger disc will improve things somewhat... 00 Audi B5 S4 MRC550'ed

Thanks Adam.

The thread about your experience got a bit silly when you did it back in 09.

PM me how it all worked out in the end if you don't mind. Did you get the bolt issue sorted?

I'd agree that if you're howling down mountain passes on the continent (which can go on for miles) in the car fully loaded you will easily appreciate that the brakes could be better.

The fact that its a diesel doesn't make any difference to the fact its still 3 ton that needs stopping.

Exactly... 100mph in a TDV6 or 100mph in a TDV8 or Supercharged... you still wanna stop!! Not sure why Land Rover divided the two. Like you say, car still weighs the same...

Forget my post in 09, me being silly, I bought the wrong calipers! They were sold to me as RRS upgrade when infact, they were for the FFRR.

If you do the upgrade (with the correct parts!) its honestly straight forward. WINNER - 2009 Best in Class Range Rover Sport Award
