How to remove Starter Motor on 2006 4.2 V8 SC

need some help with how to change/remove the starter motor on a 2006 4.2 V8 SC.

Had to tow the car home tonight as it would not start/tumble although the battery is reading perfect.

Hi Bobby,

Still need to do the alternator work. The alt is still charging the battery, but the indash battery light comes on after about 15 mins of driving from cold, and then stays on for the rest of the day. My thinking is the the alternator is on its way out (brushes).

Yesterday, afternoon the car won't start - turning the ign I will hear a loud click (solenoid), but starter will not turn over. Got under and tried tapping the starter - but no luck. Battery is fine, and dash lights don't dull when ign is turned on (as what happens when there is a dead battery).
Rangy was brought home last night on a tow truck!!!

So I'm going to check the ground points now, but suspect the starter needs servicing.
I am after the removal procedure for the starter motor, please.
