United Kingdom 2005 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Java Black

Lucky enough to own a 5 series BMW Sport, an X5 4.4 and Jeep over last 5 years. Only had the RRS SC 3 months but this is the best of the lot - except for fuel consumption Crying or Very sad

I guess if things start going wrong/costing piles then my view will change but for the moment it's a real joy!

Scotland 2007 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Zermatt Silver

Doesn't look too bad for the money, but I think you will find lesser mileages for around the same. Take no notice of the Overfinch alloys.....cos they aint. Tiger copies are everywhere & those are stone wall copies. Will do you a turn, but way too soft & could leave you stuck somewhere on a dark night......just my experience when they crack

Interior tidy enough, not much difference in wear from my 57. Allow 700ish for a half decent warranty with those mile......unless they are offering one too (viewing on my crackberry, may have missed the full ad.)

Overall, nice colour, pics are ok & if it it looks as good in the flesh & roadtest......could be worth a haggle.

Add to your save list & keep it to compare...

mine was also faultless, HOWEVER with £22k to spend you will be looking at one out of warranty. All cars have problems and the RRS is not cheap to fix as its big and complicated (like many others).

Personally (and this is just me), I would never buy an expensive/premium car out of warranty without putting aside 2-3k for maintenance/repairs (including a comprehensive warranty)

Good luck

Kaine

Lower mileage and looks good - albeit a slightly lower SE spec.

Or if you can haggle them down and stretch the budget - this fully loaded TDv8 looks good to me (although "Maya Silver" should really read Maya Gold - not a very popular colour).

My feeling on that one is 19k cash would be a fair price due to age and miles and what else is on autotrader. The guy says its superb and drives spot on,no knocks or bangs at all, mind you he also says its got overfinch on it Rolling Eyes Or do you think I am being unrealistic.

18 would be where to start, but the beauty of a forum is that ADY has an opinion on the seller. Give it a good look over and at the very least it will give you a guide of what's around.

Its cool Ady,exactly why I joined.I'm not a massive car lover and to be honest I think I'm going mad to spend 20kplus for it to sit on my drive 99% of the time, but I like nice things Wink and just have a hankering for one,but before I buy one I will be asking if anyone knows the car/seller.

Yup, that's exactly what I'm saying - forums are great for having people with a bit of iside knowledge. If its not far - its worth a look to give him a guide. Loads out there....all be it a bit dearrer than looking in June.

Lol, before the link downloaded I thought that the site was that other well known Arfur Daly type out in Essex -
S Censoredn 4x4........................

There are 2 items about that car that would make me run a mile - it's an early RRS - it has 21" wheels and the early cars required a steering rack upgrade to wear wheels/tyres bigger than 19" to avoid damage to the rack.
Also it clearly shows a Stornoway Grey car in the picture.......................... there was no Stornoway Grey in 2005, it was a slightly browner grey called Bonatti, which makes me think that car may have been resprayed for some reason not disclosed. The give-away is that Stornoway Grey body colour almost matches exactly the grey plastic trim bits like door pulls - Bonatti doesn't match the plastic as well. I suspect it's a rebuilt write-off or it's been badly damaged and re-built.......................... it is therefore way overpriced and possibly being sold mis-described if it is a rebuild 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
2018 Melting Silver Mini Countryman PHEV - soon to be replaced
2015MY Corris Grey SDv6 HSE Dynamic, the best car I have ever owned, totally reliable only a cou0le of rattles in 3 years, now no longer in my care
Also in my garage is a 1996 TDi300 Defender 90 County HT made into a fake CSW
