Steering wheel change over/ engine cover removal

People, please could any one advise on steps to change my steering wheel? just brought a new soft leather to replace my hard leather (a bit tired,for sale if anyone wants to recover it). Also how do i lift the plastic engine cover off?(4.2 SC) 4 screws? push up..lift etc etc... Many thanks

you'll need an airbag removal tool for starters. RRS gone

Changing the crappy plastic wheel for a new leather replacement was the first mod I made to my 2005 SC when I got it a couple of months back. What a difference!

I bought an exchange wheel from PowerfulUK and they lent me the tool for free to be returned with the exchange wheel.

The change over of the wheel was simple with the correct tool. Luckily, PowerfulUK also have guides on their website : http://www.powerfuluk.com/colourfittingguides.html

You have to be super careful with the airbag and wiring in the wheel!

FYI:I have no relationship with this company - just a happy customer.

Thanks. is the tool a long hook? i spoke to powerful and have ordered a few bits of them in the past but they had run out of wheels so i brought one from pimp my rangie.

A metal coat hanger with a small right angle bend on the end works well and won't cost you £20 Shocked Cheers Paul
