Watching television when parked.

Hi everyone, I need some assistance, I'm watching tv in the car waiting for the missus, I can't watch with the engine off is this normal?

Hi,
ISTR ours worked fine without engine running but for a set amount of time (10min??)
Does the radio work ok with no engine on?

As above though can drain your battery

Thanks for your responses, just to clarify, if I'm parked with the engine running,I can watch no problems but if I turn the engine off the telly goes off as well, like was mentioned you would think you had 10mins or so to keep watching, I haven't checked the settings so maybe this is the problem.

i think it depends on the state of charge of your battery too.

I used to like to watch the TV or DVDs while waiting for ferries etc (like i could on all my previous cars) but not in an RRS. Incredible that you cant watch a dvd for more than 3 minutes at a time! Merc C220 estate Sport AMG

Hi,
I can remember waiting for swmbo once and was watching the tv with engine off, ignition off, did have to keep pressing the button every few Question minutes to stop it shutting down
