Supacat, My understanding (and I'm sure VA will correct me if I'm wrong here) is that Guava LR are 100% official LR, just that their business model is exporting vehicles/parts etc to dealers in foreign, far flung countries (and helping the delaerships set up in the 1st instance) and they are not allowed to sell any LR vehicles within the UK as part of their agreement with LR. Their service dept is however superb and completely 'main dealer' in every respect. In their 'showroom' they had some serious looking defenders that were about to be shipped out to dealerships. So, yes all warranty issues etc dealt with as normal. Hope this help. |

Agreed - have dealt with them on a number of occasions myself and service and costs are excellent. Don't think much of their loan cars though - last time it was some old W reg Rover 45

So Guava have just delivered the RRS back (and reclaimed 'the stinker' ). The service was all carried out, and under warranty they replaced the pass mirror (creaked when folding), replaced the pass rr door lock (stuck intermittantly), replaced the front diff ( as it was leaking ). They also replaced the lower suspension arms including ball joints, and replaced the active anti roll bar units, and that has cured the knocking noise on the front completely ! Its lovely and quiet to drive now Lets hope it lasts. Excellent service throughout - they kept me informed what was going on with daily phone calls, they were 25% cheaper than the other dealers I rang, the car came back fully valeted, and they even gave me a courtesy car Tony |
