Hmm I only know that the 5.0L needs timing guides fixed. The 3.6 is more turbo issues. Maybe someone more knowledgable can answer. |

I don't think the TDV8 timing chain ever needs to be replaced 2010 RRS, TDV8

Sure read somewhere TDV8 timing chains are "lifetime chains" whatever that really means, don't ever recall seeing any mention of recommended intervals to change them. The early 5.0L had problems with chain guides/tensioner which they modified from around MY12 on I think, something to do with the piston/plunger part of tensioner and button on the guide being aluminium and wearing badly, so they changed them to stainless steel, so not sure if it is still a problem.
