I use iPhone 4, 2 days ago I updated to 4.2 software. Ever since the update USB connection with RRS became a problem. When trying to connect SatNav, radio, voice over SatNav goes mental. iPhone reconnects all the time as if it was being unplugged every 5 secs. Then the entire in-car audio system goes silent. You have to reset all settings through the touchscreen menu, turn off the engine, lock the doors to get everything to work again.

I went online searched for the problem.

Apparently Vovlo cars have the same issue.... and many others so they say. So please, stay away from the 4.2 update for now and wait for 4.2.1 Vadim A.

I've updated my iphone software to 4.2 and all seems fine - looks like a post MY10 specific problem. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten
2009 Alaska TDV8 - Gone and much missed.

my brothers Volvo is having a problem too, but i thinks its the playing the tunes and not the phone side of things

if you have jailbroken iphone you might want to install resupported application from cydia. it cost 3 dollars I think, and it enables all ipod/iphone deviced and accessories that were working with all old devices, but are not working with new iphones. it also let you use cheap av cables for iphone/ipod that cost several times less that original apple cable.
Since I have it it let me use ipod jacket, ipod speakers, FM transmitters etc that are few years old My name: Patryk
