Just glad that I have the RRS (even though it is a diesel) ...... these big flash Mercs, BMs and Audi's are as common as reps cars these days they all seem to have AMG this and Alpina/M that or RS on the *rse end. No they are all far too common for me. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
2018 Melting Silver Mini Countryman PHEV - soon to be replaced

By the way Jay, my best mate is test driving a CLK55AMG on Saturday.

I know it's not 'The Daddy' engine like yours and the E55 (Supercharged 476bhp) but still, a 5.5V8 with 380ish bhp (minus supercharger) and a sound like a NASCAR is a mouth watering proposition. Wink

I feel a trip to brunthinthorpe (however u spell it) or something coming on Jay.. will make the necessary arrangements.. I take challenges seriously.. remember my nick name is KAMBO after all..

Tim, they ARE as common as muck, but i keep getting traders trying to rip me off when they see the range rover.. something to do with the status and aristocracy link of the RRS.. as said before it portrays a very high status, and signifies deep pockets..
Clients also get surprised, seeing as though im a payroll jockey still, and my car takes up half the car park and makes my dads car and his old partners ML look like rep wagons.. let alone in front of the rest of the staff's c classes, and golfs.

Hence.. if you pull up in an Audi, its only got a look of 'suitably smart'.. and only those in the know will know its hidden secrets.. feel i need a car like this for a short while.. while i endeavour to complete my little projects with some money left in my pockets! and to stop the staff thinking im daddy's little boy..
Its a bit of a running joke with some of the guys on rs246.com, as some of them stick on 1.9tdi badges on their RS4's & 6's.

They are all the place up here - was in Glasgow today and saw at least 6 of those pig ugly new Merc CLS 4 door coupe-a-like things and they were all AMG badged. Same with M3, M5 and M6 BM's there's heaps of them in these parts. Must be too much money up here! 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

They have both in. I've recommended the coupe as a bit cheaper, and also a bit stiffer torsional rigidity. Runner up - 2009 Best Avatar Award Sad
