Wing Mirror - UK vs North America

Hello all - First post here.

I'm not an owner nor am I likely to become one any time soon (just got myself a mint Mondeo ST220 and I can just about deal with the fuel consumption on that!).

However, my cousin in Egypt needs his RHS wing mirror glass replaced on his Canada sourced 2006 RRS. I'm going over soon and he asked me to bring it over but does anyone know if the North American and UK mirrors are the same before I go out and buy it?

If they're the same, any recommendations for cheap RRS parts sourcing?

Thanks in advance.

Thanks - however, I've just realised that by buying a RHS mirror here, it will effectively be a driver's mirror with blindspot curve. I suspect he will want a flat mirror?

Anyway, will have a look around to see what I can find.

Well, I got one in the end - lack of time meant it had to be from a dealer; I tried two branches of a dealer local to me (Cardiff and Newport) but they didn't return any of my secveral calls.

As we were heading to Heathrow, I noticed that Lancaster Land Rover was 5 mins off the M4 at Reading, so called there, nice man answered phone and confirmed that he had 2 mirrors in stock at a price of £31.50 +VAT. Not cheap but not as extortionate as I was expecting! Picked it up, sent it over, job's a good 'un.

I heard from my cousin today that he managed to break the back of it while trying to fit it! he now has one miror with broken back and one with broken mirror. Hopefully, he'll manage to combine the two!

Thanks for help, Jonny.
