Airwolf, I am currently looking myself. So far the super chips bluefin that is an unit that allows you to remap and de-remap your sport as you wish. I really want this for two reasons

1) dealers can easily tell amremaped TDV8, so I'm keen to avoid warranty dodging
2) the 2012 mot will include instant MOT failure for remaped vehicles that change the emisions and road tax banding

Let's see what others recommend

I am only asking for a bit of advice on which type of map is best for my rrs ,

Just to update you who are intrested I have done some research and spoke to a tuner who might have a tune
map that will give 230ps-250ps ? with 500nms on dyno

so just waiting to get more info

as im a novice in this area i dont know wether this is good or bad but he assured me its good ?????

all coments would be of much help from the tuning companies linked with this forum ????

There's no "best" map, there are many, many suppliers, some of which claim huge power and torque increases, some of whom claim less of a hike in output but better driveability or economy...

Also, some companies don't provide rolling road data (all of which is very subjective anyway), just an estimated figure of power increases, and some do provide real figures.

What are you after? Also, are you looking to travel to get work done, or get someone to visit you.

What's "best" for one person is not necessarily the "best" for you. Thumbs Up Like this site? Buy some RRSPORT goodies to show your support!

Speak to Bell Auto Services.

IMHO you won't get better. These are the people (BAS & BBS) that produce the maps and the hardware to program it and have quite some experience. They are not a reseller they are the people that spend hours cracking the hardware, and programming and testing the software.

If you want the highest torque and bhp available they will oblige you but what you will end up with is pub bragging rights and a vehicle that drives like a pig. What they normally suggest is a moderate gain that improves the drivability throughout the range. They will also tailor a tuned map to your own requirements using your engine data. This can be done in person or via e-mail rather than a generic map or worse still a plug in solution that just alters the information to the ECU.

They will make you and your RRS happy...!

Just my humble opinion, others may have different views...

Interesting reading a dyno sheet that meets the exact bhp as the factory states, Im not sure the 4th gear ratio of 1.85/1 is correct and the oil temp of 451.9C looks a bit suspect with the 50% humidity reading, Hummm.
